Arabescato Marble

Arabescato marble is quarried in the Carrara region of Tuscany, Italy. All varieties of Arabescato marble are known for their beautiful veining patterns flowing over an exquisite pure white background.

The veining pattern is dependent upon the variety of Arabescato which is extracted. Arabescato Corchia is a heavily brecciated marble with rounded veining patterns in a grey blue like pattern. This marble is quarried in Stazzema1 in the Lucca Province of Tuscany. The standard of an Arabescato Corchia block is graded higher in relation to how little yellow it possesses. Below you can see the veining pattern of Arabescato Corchia in slab form.

Arabescato Vagli is a type of Arabescato marble. This marble is quarried in Vagli di Sotto2 in the Lucca Province of Tuscany. The veining of this marble is straighter in comparison to Arabescato Corchia and is a dark grey colour with some hints of green.  In the image at the top of this page you can see veining of Arabescato Vagli. Arabescato marble tiles in this material are extremely popular for both the floors and walls of bathrooms. This is true of both standard Arabescato Vagli an Arabescato Extra.

Numerous styles of coffee tables in both Arabescato Corchia and Arabescato Vagli can be seen in our exclusive Italian marble coffee table collection.

A more unique type of Arabescato marble is Arabescato Orobico. This marble is extracted from the Cornalita quarry3 in the village of Camerata Cornello in the Brembo Valley.

The underlying colour of this marble is normally a dark or light grey although it can be red. It possesses white gold and pink veining in a swirl like pattern. This unique look makes this stone an extremely popular choice for ornamental furniture and luxury interiors. Below you can see the patterning of an Arabescato Orobico slab in red.
